I don’t know about you but when I came to learn about Roman, Greek and Norse mythology in high school, I was not all that impressed. And now that another one has come to grace the movie screens, the impression just got worse.

So a little known comic book character, the god of thunder, Thor, wielding a divine hammer got his own movie. Only that it’s a very lame attempt at depicting a Norse mythology story for the moviegoers’ eyes. I was never really a fan of the comic and won’t be a new one anytime soon (or ever).

For one, I’ve totally got tired of ‘banished hero learns his lesson and kicked some ass’ formula most blockbuster movies have these days. The actors’ attempt at archaic language failed miserably and the only redeeming factors, it seems, are the quality of visual effects and the notable performance of Tom Hiddleston as the villain brother, Loki.

Don’t mind the colossal earnings and excitable people lining the theaters who will emerge as Thor converts afterwards. Not because everyone flocked the cinemas and thinks it’s ‘the bomb’ does not mean it’s worth your time. Or have you forgotten Iron Man franchise already?

I am thoroughly disappointed that the movie industry seems to be running out of decent ideas to put into screens that they have turned to comic books and novels for adaptations (that came out really bad, by the way).

You know, I’m not usually a critic who cares for acting and stuff but it was so bland I just have to mention it. I cannot possibly enjoy a movie when I’m constantly reminded of how trashy are the actors’ performances.

Perhaps the only major selling points of this completely boring movie is the attractive lead character or maybe it’s the ‘huge’ fanbase of the Marvel story that watched it at least twice — in 3D. At least when you know your plot’s quite thin, put in some wit to make it entertaining for the rest of us, please.

And I keep hearing of this ‘glorious sense of humor’ the film has. Where was it exactly? Are you kidding me? The whole story is practically dragging, man.

Start off with the Standard Terran build order: Depot at 10, Barracks at 12, Refinery at 13, Orbital Command and your first Marine at 15, then a Supply Depot. You can afford to add on around 4-5 Barracks and a Starport, depending on what units you’re making. Start making Marauders and Siege Tanks to help defend and you’ll have a good force to push out with soon. When you make your attack, expand to a third base so your economy stays nice and high.

The key to making this build work is practicing it a few times and focusing on having very good macro during the whole game. Without macro your income will start to fall behind and you’ll likely get out-numbered by your opponents forces.

Heather Graham has become the latest celebrity to fall for the poker madness after hitting the tables in Las Vegas while making her new movie the Hangover.

Heather Graham admits that she never had any interest in the game before but now she’s hooked – and let in gambling brings out her nasty side.

“We had a poker tournament and I did really well; I came in fourth!” ,”Poker is pretty vicious and dark. It brings out an ugly side of me that’s pretty competitive.” Heather Graham said.

When the stars of the new film The Hangover shot their location scenes in and near Caesars Palace, they promised to return for the press promotion. They also wanted to do something special for our beloved local charity Opportunity Village, and our contributing photographer Erik Kabik was on hand to capture the action.

True to their word, the cast led by director Todd Phillips organized a celebrity poker tournament to benefit Opportunity Village. Taking part were actress Heather Graham and her boyfriend Yaniz Raz and actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and a bearded Zach Galifianakis, who played with his dad, Harry Galifianakis, and came in third place.

The tournament winner was Aaron Wong, who helped present the ,000 check to Linda Smith, Opportunity Village’s director.

The movie “Hangover” premiers on June 5.

The premise of the film involves four friends: Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha who come to Las Vegas from L.A. for a bachelor party.

The men wake up the next morning missing the groom Justin Bartha, a tooth, and all memory of what happened the night before.

Their suite at Caesars Place is completely trashed, and there’s a tiger in the living room; a baby crying in the bathroom; and an unexpected wedding ring on one of their fingers.

The groomsmen are forced to retrace their steps from the night before in effort to find their friend and get him back to L.A. in time for his wedding.

While Heather Graham, who plays the woman Bradley Cooper accidentally marries during the booze-fueled night of debauchery.

3. Poor health
4. Dehydrated body
5. Lack of sleep.

Home Remedies for Hangover

1. Consume Vitamin C rich citrus fruits in plenty in the morning after alcohol consumption to free yourself from hangover.

2. Add half cup lime juice to a glass of water and drink the solution. This is a useful home remedy for hangover.

3. Increase water intake, for water counters the effect of high levels of alcohol in body and decreases the intensity of hangover symptoms.

4. Peel off banana and soak peel in water. Cool the water and drink to get rid of hangover.

5. A glass of chocolate milk at bedtime releases one from hangover.

6. Honey contains high amounts of fructose that neutralizes the impact of alcohol. Taking 1 tablespoon honey cures hangover.

7. Prepare a concoction by pouring few drops of lemon juice in to a cup of sugar free black coffee. Drink the concoction. This solves the problem of hangover amazingly.

8. Peppermint tea or ginger tea may be drunk frequently. It is an effective hangover cure.

9. Drinking tomato juice cures hangover.

10. Sip from a solution of lime juice, water and 1 teaspoon sugar throughout the day. This is beneficial in treating hangover.

11. Boil or rather simmer 5-6 crushed thyme leaves in a cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Strain and drink the tea. This is a helpful hangover remedy.

12. Taking warm water bath the next morning helps to treat hangover by eliminating toxins.

13. Immerse handkerchief in chilled water. Apply it on forehead to lessen hangover headaches.

Gone are the chips and the Mexican burritos and the booze and in are healthful organic meals. Recent pictures show her getting the fat off and how she did it is a case study in what the uber rich are able to do with all the money at their disposal. Brit has decided to take on a serious workout regime which requires her to work out three times a day five days a week with a personal trainer. She says she recently switched from using a male personal trainer to a female one since she felt that the female trainer would understand her better.

Britney Spears’ workout regime also reportedly requires her to do no less than 1,000 stomach crunches on her own every single day, in addition to the whole work out routine with the trainers. Ouch. I mean, I’m hardly in perfect shape, but even I know that’s an insane plan and it’s going to land her in a hospital, not a magazine cover.
